Why We Now Require Inspiration Images from our Clients

Something that we’ve recently updated when it comes to our policies and procedures here at Making Room for Peace, is requiring our clients to provide 5-10 inspiration images for their project. It could be anything from a photograph, a fabric swatch, a piece of pottery, or a screen-shot of an Instagram image. We want to see what captures your attention and what you feel best represents your style.

We recently implemented this policy after finding that there were a few instances of miscommunication when it came to the exact style that our clients were after. The thing is, everyone has their own definition and idea of what constitutes as “traditional” or “coastal” or “modern". We want to figure out what that means and looks like to you. During our consultation we are able to gain a fairly clear idea as to our client’s style but having some images to reference is always helpful. We in no way want to or plan on copy the images but rather, pull certain elements from them. It is always our goal for our spaces to reflect our client’s values and style.
