Projects That We're Currently Working On

If you follow us on the blog or on social media, you may have noticed that its been a minute since we’ve shared about any new projects. The truth is that we’ve had a VERY busy year, with projects all across the state (as well as our first one in DC!) but due to the nature of the work though, their timelines tend to be on the longer side. As always, we have the pleasure of working with a variety of clients in terms of age, style, location, and scope of work. Today, we wanted to share a little about what we’ve been working on!

FALLS CHURCH PROJECT:

• LOCATION: Falls Church, VA.

• CLIENT: Young family of four.

• SCOPE OF WORK: Full Service Interior Design | The Falls Church Project will always hold a special place in our hear as it is our first full-home renovation. The clients were well under-way - having already secured an architect and contractor - before approaching us in the early summer of 2021. Seeking us out for our interior design services and “MRFP look”, it was their hope that we could come alongside them to assist in selecting: finishes, fixtures, paint colors, furniture, lighting, decor, wall art, etc. It has been such a fun project!

• TIMELINE: Summer of 2021 - Early 2023

• STYLE: Transitional.

CATHEDRAL HEIGHTS PROJECT:

• LOCATION: NW Washington DC

• CLIENT: Young family of four.

• SCOPE OF WORK: Full Service Interior Design & Decluttering | Having lived in their home for a few years now, it had always been our client’s intention to make home improvements but due to their busy schedules it just never seemed to happen. Along with our design and decluttering expertise, our clients really hired us for project management skills. As we are wrapping up this project this month, its amazing to look back at the “before” and “after”! #staytuned

• TIMELINE: February 2022 - November 2022

• STYLE: New-Traditional.

FORDS COLONY PROJECT II

• LOCATION: Williamsburg, VA

• CLIENT: a retired couple just moved from Kiawah, SC. They currently live in Williamsburg, VA + Upstate NY during the year.

• SCOPE OF WORK: Full Service Interior Design | These clients have been some of the sweetest that we have ever worked with. It was about two weeks after they had moved from Kiawah, SC when they contacted us in regards to helping them design their new home. Having left the majority of their belongings in SC, we pretty much started from scratch! Wishing to leave the coastal, Southern style behind, we’re working together on their entire home (a few rooms at a time!) to create a space that feels like “home” to them.

• TIMELINE: Summer of 2022 - TBD

• STYLE: Traditional.

TRAVERTINE RENOVATION

• LOCATION: Williamsburg, VA

• CLIENT: a retired couple

• SCOPE OF WORK: Full Service Interior Design | Having lived in their home for over 15 years now, our clients have done some renovations here and there - but when it came to their master bath - it was in desperate need of a “refresh”. Teaming up with Van Fleet contractors, we are going to be breathing new life into this master bath while keeping with the client’s traditional style.

• TIMELINE: Fall 2022 - Early 2023

• STYLE: Traditional

NORTH ARLINGTON PROJECT:

• LOCATION: Arlington, VA

• CLIENT: A couple with two teenage boys about to head off to college in the next couple of years.

• SCOPE OF WORK: Full Service Decorating | With two teenage boys heading off to college sometime in the next couple of years, our clients felt it time to make some updates to their home! Working in the main living area (entry, family room, living room, powder bath, home office), we’ll be working to create a cohesive design - getting rid of the more traditional elements (not their style) and creating something new and fresh!

• TIMELINE: Fall 2022 - Early 2023

• STYLE: Transitional, leaning modern.

SPRINGFIELD PROJECT

• LOCATION: Springfield, VA

• CLIENT: Young family of four.

• SCOPE OF WORK: Full Service Decorating & Decluttering | We are so excited to be working with this sweet family to create a home that reflects their style and values; and where they can raise their children up in. We are working largely in the main living area (entry, powder bath, living room, dining room, family room, home office, etc.).

• TIMELINE: Fall 2022 - Early 2023

• STYLE: Transitional.

FORT HUNT HOME OFFICE:

• LOCATION: Alexandria, VA

• CLIENT: a couple.

• SCOPE OF WORK: Full Service Decorating & Decluttering | Having connected through the Next Door Neighbor app, we were brought into this project to help with our client’s home office! Serving multiple purposes: home office, space for arts and crafts, entertaining, workout area, cat’s room - functionality was a must. Our client is quite creative, so its been fun working with her to bring more of her style into the room. We plan on creating a colorful gallery wall and installing some beautiful wood shelving to hold some of her art supplies. #staytuned
