Cedar Counseling & Wellness Project Reveal | Office 04

When it comes to any space that we design, we want people to walk in and immediately feel safe and at peace. This is especially true for the counselors offices that we regularly work on but even more so for Cedar Counseling & Wellness. A 3,000 sq. ft. counselors office based in Annapolis, MD this expansive space boasts two waiting areas and seven counselors offices. With such a large space, it could easily feel overwhelming for clients walking through doors, but with our strategic and thoughtful design, we were able to make it into a calming retreat. Today, we are walking you through the design of office 04!

The corner-office! While every office has beautiful views, this one has the best. It ended up playing a large part of the inspiration in our design.

Taking our cue from the beautiful, wooded-view, we transformed this corner-office into a peaceful, professional retreat. Being the office of Carrie, the owner and founder of Cedar, we wanted it to feel substantial. We achieved this with the quality pieces that we selected - everything from the Mid-Century Modern console tables to the gray, linen sofa.

As with the rest of the counseling space, we infused office 04 with a series of natural elements: stone coffee tables, preserved moss and florals, wood accents, etc.. All of these helped to bring a sense of warmth and thoughtfulness, to an other-wise very professional office.

Wanting to bring in some softness and light, we placed two, round, brass mirrors on either side of the sofa, above a set of Mid-Century Modern console tables. We styled these simply with some vintage books, wooden boxes, and a pair of cement table lamps.

For Carrie’s workspace, we selected a modern, wood desk and paired it with a steel-gray chair. Keeping the styling minimal, we placed a large, linen bulletin board on-top, along with a framed piece of art. Both pieces, have elements that tie in with the rest of the room.
