Abundant Life Partners Reveal | Waiting Area
When Abundant Life Partners reached out to us a few weeks ago about designing a new office I laughed and was like, “Meghan we just designed an office for you?!” We were joking of course as we were thrilled not only with the opportunity of working together again but also just to witness the success of a client’s business that is bringing peace to so many people’s lives. Abundant Life Partners now has three office locations: one on Jamestown road, another in downtown Williamsburg and the third at McLaws circle.
In keeping with the design of the offices that we have designed for ALP in the past, we wanted this one to feel similar: California coastal, fresh and warm. We started work on this project in early October and wrapped up about one month later! The scope of the project included a waiting room and three offices. Today, we are walking you through the waiting area!
BEFORE
A long, narrow room with beautiful natural light. Similar to ALP’s waiting room at the Jamestown location, this one would pose the challenge of squeezing enough seating in!
While we toyed with the idea of re-painting the walls and installing new furniture, we decided to work around the existing shell.
AFTER
Walking into Abundant Life Partner’s waiting room now, you are immediately enveloped with a feeling of warmth and safety. Taking our inspiration from the warm wall color, natural light and California coastal vibes we created a space that allows clients to walk in and feel welcomed as they wait for their session.
Though the waiting area is quite neutral in its color palette, we added a lot of interest through a variety of lines and textures. To add to the feeling of “warmth” we selected a luxurious, coffee-colored loveseat flanked by the most beautiful wooden accent tables.
A large part of that inspiration came from the piece of art above the loveseat. This beautiful coastal California scene really set the tone for the entire space.
Across from the loveseat is a large console table with a woven mirror on the wall above. We brought in some color to the room with use of some faux plants and dried palm fronds. This helped to really bring the room to life!
